I already had other apps that were dedicated to protection and frankly didn't need Acronis for that. For me, that's all I really needed or wanted - a straight-forward, easy-to-use backup solution that would help keep an image of my system backed up elsewhere in case I ever needed it. I started using Acronis in 2015 when it was just "Acronis True Image" and its main offering was a simple yet effective backup service. I know "bloated" is a relative term, as each user has his/her own needs, so please note this is for my particular use-case.
